Symmetry Project
The Symmetry Project is a journey through perception.
Interacting bodies, are forced into a specific bodily practice: to move symmetrically, relative to themselves or to each other.
Continuously, through their perception of self and other, they tune and readjust their frequency.
The sharing of a central axis reveals their connectedness and compatibility as well as the awkwardness, monstrosity and fragility of their bodies, creating space for the experience of the unknown, the miraculous and the ecstatic.
The Project was conceived by Jess Curtis(Gravity) and Maria Francesca Scaroni. The photos are a visual interpretation of the project. The people are Maria and Jess themselves - Berlin & Brandenburg 2007
