It is said that names are but sound and smoke. Yet it is the names that remain, while everything they stand for changes and passes away.

The baby becomes an old man, the seed becomes a tree. Not a single atom stays the same.

Only their names remain, even when they are long gone.

Identification arises from the longing for permanence and grounding in an ever-changing world. It is the beginning of long stories.
